Pflugerville started strong and held on for a tight win over the Stony Point Tigers and clinched a spot in the 5A Division II Playoffs in two weeks.  The Panthers will take on the First place team from District 15, which will more than likely be Lake Travis.  Date and Location are TBD at this point.

Clarence Guidry and Adrian Dilworth led the way early with touchdown runs to put Pflugerville up 14-0.  The Tigers cut the lead to 14-7 at the half.  The Panther D turned the Tigers away and forced the field goal attempt im the third quarter to narrow the lead to 14-10.

Blain Kruemcke found Noah Menke for an 18 yard touchdown in the fourth and Dilworth rumbled in from 2 yards to seemingly put the game out of reach.  But the Tigers would not go away easily.  They ran for a touchdown and then recovered an onside kick and scored again to cut the deficit to 28-23.  Pflugerville finally sealed the deal on a 4th and short play action pass to a wide open Noah Menke in the endzone from 34 yards out.

Pflugerville improves to 7-2 on the year, 4-1 in District play.  Stony Point fell to 3-6, 1-4.  The Panthers will take on Westwood next week on Senior Night.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm at Kuempel Stadium.
